STAYING ON THE CUTTING-EDGE of education and learning is a hallmark of Sacred Heart education. Students are actively engaged in programs that promote science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM). A one-to-one Tablet PC program in Grades 7-12 provides students with ubiquitous access to technology and the Internet, allowing students to use these tools seamlessly across the curriculum to enhance research, writing, and computational skills, and provides project based learning.
Technology use is integrated to enhance learning across all grade levels and subject areas. Students are taught how to use technology in research and through programs such as No Red Ink, DreamBox, Google Classroom, etc. In the prep school, students are assigned school devices that they are responsible for and use throughout the school year. Students purchase devices through the school starting in 7th grade to ensure that every student has access to essential programs both during and outside of school. These devices are provided by and serviced through the technology department.
In Kindergarden and 1st grade we use Ipads in the classroom to strengthen skills.
2nd-6th grade use chromebooks in the classroom to do research, make presentations, podscasts and videos.
